Just wondering what is everyone's little niche.

I develop windows apps/winforms in c# , but am trying to move more of my data apps to web apps.

I have played around in COBOL, c++, java, VB and BASIC and I know very little with networks or hardware.

A long time ago I decided that the software side was a better deal then the hardware side. :-)

Howdy Mark. I've been writing java for almost 6 years now (the IDE we use is RAD). I wrote Cobol for about 12 years before that. I did quite a bit of HP-3000 Basic and Powerhouse/Cognos(Quiz, Quick, Qtp - 4th gl's) back in the late 80's early 90's.

I don't know much about networks, hardware (unless you're talking classic HP-3000 MPE), or os's.

I'm interested in groovy and grails, but not enough to really play around with it yet. I've been having a lot of fun learning Maven lately. It isn't too bad.

I spend a lot of my day porting Cobol to Java. It is tough at first but it gets easier as the weeks go by.
