CodeSmith

I was wondering if anyone out there can tell me more about CodeSmith. I understand it's a code templating software. What are the advantages/disadvantages of using it.

Permalink Reply by Greg Bugaj on July 25, 2008 at 8:29am: Main advantage is that all you Entities/Collections will follow a given standard, also your code will be less error prone. Plus there is a ton of free templates for generating Entities and EntityCollections.
One disadvantage I see is that its not free.

Personaly I preffer MyGeneration (Free) and EntitySpaces (
$150) combination, I have used this for few projects and Its a very nice solution.; ▶ Reply to This
